What is electrolysis?
Electrolysis is the removal of unwanted hair by means of a needle type probe inserted into the hair follicle. A small amount of electrical energy is applied which destroys the hair follicle so that it cannot produce another hair. There are three basic methods used: electrolysis, thermolysis, and blend.

Electrolysis - Direct current is used to achieve chemical (sodium hydroxide) destruction of the hair follicle.

Thermolysis - High frequency current (or short wave) is used to create heat which cauterizes the capillaries at the base of the follicle so that it cannot produce another hair.

Blend - Both of the above currents are combined to achieve dual action destruction of the hair follicle.

Is electrolysis the only permanent hair removal method?
This is the only scientifically proven method of removing hair permanently! Over a lifetime, this treatment will save time and money over temporary methods. Although there has been an explosion of interest in hair removal, electrolysis has been quietly working, permanently and effectively, for over 100 years.

Electrolysis will also boost self esteem, knowing that you are doing something permanent about a possibly embarrassing problem.

Electrologists are the experts on permanent hair removal. Get rid of it safely and permanently.
